Approximately 28% of US seniors live alone. The rate increases with age – jumping to over 40% of women 75 and older. As we plan for our futures, what are the aspects of living alone we should consider? How do we mitigate the challenges?

We will spend the morning learning about Viva Village’s dynamic program, Living Solo.  The group, designed for those who are long-time solo, recently solo, or anticipating solo living someday, offers many layers of activity for participants: “sounding board” discussion groups, ‘Let’s Go!’ outings, happy hour, and more activities are designed to keep our solo Villagers in touch with one another and in the community.  A panel of Viva Village members will also share their experiences with the program.

In the afternoon, we’ll break into discussion groups covering topics like grief, security and cooking solo.

Members, volunteers and friends are invited. Lunch will be served.

St Bart’s is easily accessed from either Canyon Rd or Hwy 217 via Walker Rd. There is spacious,
flat, accessible parking. Plan to carpool with your fellow villagers; it’s more fun.
